Midwest Boarding Schools (MWBS) is a non-profit association of
31 schools working together to promote residential school
communities as one of the many educational choices in the
Midwestern United States. These outstanding schools are
located in a ten-state region from Ohio to Kansas, from
Minnesota to Arkansas.
Each school in the MWBS association is independently
governed and must undergo a periodic rigorous examination process to
procure and maintain its accreditation. Most member schools belong to
more than one of the following professional organizations: the Independent
Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), the North Central
Association of Schools and Colleges (NCA), the National Association of
Independent Schools (NAIS), and the Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).
